Spring Has Sprung! Dress

Included in the 2024 Doll Club collection, Spring Has Sprung! is a sweet 18″ doll dress designed by Ann Parker. Dolly is filled with anticipation as she dresses in her favorite spring outfit, made of blue-and-white striped seersucker, and grabs her Easter basket to get ready to hunt for eggs. A white pleated insert is embellished with three charming hand-smocked bunnies happily hopping down the bunny path, each holding a pastel pink flower. Mini piping outlines the top and bottom of the insert in matching blue-and-white seersucker. Whether you are new to picture smocking or an experienced picture smocker, this dress will be fun to make. The back dress overlaps, creating a faux wrap-dress closed with two snaps for easy on and easy off. The back buttonholes with buttons stitched on top mimic a functional-looking yet faux-button closure. If you prefer an embroidered insert, that can easily be done. Or you may choose to make a plain dress with no insert or piping to be worn with other accessories year-round!
